Used to connect hose assembly to fluid manifold and/or FTS. Part of 5000 psi adapter fittings series. Use JIC swivel fittings to connect female FTS to male end hoses and/or npt female ball valves on mix manifold inlets. Reference number 12 in the diagram. Related to part 117595 which is a similar union fitting for A side with 1/4 npt(m) x #5 JIC connection. This is reference number 12 in the assembly diagram. There is also a related part 117595 which is the A side version (1/4 npt(m) x #5 JIC). Both parts appear to be swivel unions for inlet connections.
