Tool used to press out old bearings (37a) from impeller bowls (37b) and intake bowl (36a) using short-nippled end, and to press new bearings (36b, 37a) into bowls using long-nippled end. Maintains required 0.06 in. (1.6 mm) dimension of impeller bowls during bearing installation. Used to press new bearing into intake bowl until it bottoms against shaft holding tool. Referenced in step d of bearing installation procedure. Used for pressing new bearings into bowls to maintain proper clearance of bearings. Related to Checking Tool 177217 and Check Fixture 177218 which are used together to check concentricity of new bearings pressed into impeller bowls.
