For model 236417 only, remove the cotter pin (111) and unscrew the extension rod (110) from the reciprocator displacement rod (9). Pull the oil deflector (109) off the extension rod (110) and remove the o-ring (117) from the deflector. This is in contrast to Model 261466 which has a different deflector removal procedure.
