The Multi-Pleat XL11 is a medium-efficiency, extended-surface pleated panel filter built to exceed the initial efficiency and overall performance of standard pleated filters. It is rated MERV 11 under ASHRAE Test Standard 52.2, with an initial dust-spot efficiency around 45% and an average dust-spot efficiency in the 55-60% range under ASHRAE Test Standard 52.1, making it a meaningful upgrade from disposable and ordinary pleated filters in hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical plants, commercial offices, and other settings that need cleaner air.

Construction

XL11 media is a dual-layer, 100% synthetic construction developed by Koch Filter: an upstream electrostatically enhanced layer (E-Layer) paired with a downstream mechanical layer (M-Layer). Single-layer electrostatic filters tend to lose efficiency as their charge dissipates over time; the XL11's dual-layer design addresses that weakness, since the M-Layer keeps performing mechanically as the E-Layer's electrostatic effect fades, maintaining strong efficiency and dust-holding capacity.

The high-capacity XL11-HC carries roughly 30% more media than the standard XL11, extending service life for systems that base change-outs on final pressure-drop readings. Packaged 12 per case and made in the USA.
