The Multi-Pleat XL8 is a medium-efficiency, extended-surface pleated panel filter designed to outperform standard pleated filters in both efficiency and overall performance. It carries a MERV 8 rating (MERV 8-A after conditioning) under ASHRAE Test Standard 52.2, making it a solid upgrade from disposable filters and lower-MERV pleated filters in settings such as hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical plants, and commercial office buildings where improved indoor air quality is a priority.

Construction

The XL8's media is made from a specialized blend of synthetic fibers engineered by Koch Filter specifically for extended-surface air filters. It works on purely mechanical filtration principles rather than an electrostatic charge, which keeps efficiency and dust-holding performance consistent over the life of the filter.

Capacity Level: High Capacity

This is the high-capacity version of the XL8 line. Compared to the standard-capacity XL8, the XL8-HC contains roughly 30% more filter media, extending service life. It suits systems where filters are replaced based on final pressure-drop readings rather than a fixed calendar schedule. Packaged 12 per case and made in the USA.
