Simpson Strong-Tie CCOQ4-SDS2.5 - Column Cap (No Straps) for 4x Beam, w/ SDS Screws
The CCOQ is designed to provide strong column-beam connections on top of steel columns. The column cap features a design without legs, enabling a field-welded attachment to steel columns and posts. The seat of the column cap provides additional surface area for bearing that extends beyond each side of the column. This helps to distribute the load from the beam and provide support for the connection. The CCOQ uses Strong-Drive® SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws to provide fast installation and to attach to a greater net section area of the column than a bolt attachment normally entails.

Material- CCOQ3, CCOQ4, CCOQ4.62, CCOQ6, — 7 gauge; all others — 3 gauge
Finish- No coating. Some models available in HDG; see Corrosion Information.
Installation- Fasten with 1/4" x 2 1/2" Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws, which are provided with the column cap. (Lag screws will not achieve the same load.) Use stainless-steel Strong-Drive screws with stainless-steel connectors.
