Ideal for multifamily, multilevel Type III residential construction, the patent-pending DGHTâ„¢ is a load-tested fire wall hanger with a two-hour fire rating. It's the first fire wall hanger designed to install with a power nailer, saving time before hanging drywall, which helps keep construction projects on schedule. This top-flange hanger provides space for two layers of 5/8" gypsum board (drywall) to be slipped into place after the framing is complete. The DGHT has been tested according to ASTM E814 and is fire rated for use on both sides of the wall. This heavier gauge hanger is available in standard, skewed or concealed options.

Installation
- Use all specified fasteners. I-joists require web stiffeners.
- DGHT is mounted like a standard top-flange hanger.
- Wall-plate splices must occur at a stud location.
- DGHT welded to steel header with (4) 1 1/2" fillet welds and (6) joist nails achieves a download of 2,700 lb. Face flanges require full backing.
