Item Description

Simpson Strong-Tie RST-3 - 18 gauge Hurricane Tie

The RST is a versatile connector that provides uplift resistance for roof trusses and rafters for applications where attachment to the wall stud rather than the top plate is preferred. The unique geometry allows the connector to straddle a double 2x top plate either with or without a 5/8-in. bearing strip. The strap portion of the connector can be bent about the perforated strap portion of the connector to enable connection to either the narrow or wide face of the stud.
