Superior Tool's® Emergency Gas Shut-Off Wrench is a must-have for any plumber or homeowner. Gas leaks, fires and other natural disasters occur with little or no warning, be prepared to turn off your gas supply at the source. This rust-resistant gas-shut off wrench can be left attached to the gas meter, eliminating the need to search through the toolbox during an emergency. Multiple-sized slots to fit most gas meter valves.

Instructions:
Gas Shut-Off Instructions SHUT OFF THE GAS AND CALL YOR SERVICE PROVIDER
1. Locate the main gas shut-off valve next to the gas meter on the inlet pipe.
2. Use one of the slotted holes on the Gas Shut-Off Wrench to fit over the shut-off valve. For industrial use, you may have to use our Water Shut-Off Wrench (Model 2750) to fit a larger valve.
3. Turn the valve 1/4 of a turn to shut off the gas.
WARNING! ALL PILOT LIGHTS IN AND AROUND THE HOME WILL GO OUT WHEN YOU TURN THE VALVE OFF. BE SURE TO CALL THE GAS COMPANY OR A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL TO TURN THE GAS BACK ON AND TO RELIGHT ALL OF THE PILOT LIGHTS. DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF.
CAUTION: When testing your gas valve or the wrench, do not turn the main valve more than 1/8 of a turn to the right or left. If you do, your pilot lights will go out and will require a qualified professional to relight.
