The bleed-type master air valve relieves air trapped between this valve and the pump after the air is shut off. Trapped air can cause the pump to cycle unexpectedly. Locate the valve close to the pump. Referenced as component (B) in the system accessories. Referenced as 'Part No. 113269 Bleed Valve' in the bleed-type master air valve (A) section. Functions to relieve air trapped between the valve and pump when air is shut off, preventing unexpected pump cycling. Should be located close to the pump and easily accessible. Required in system to relieve air trapped between the valve and the air motor when the valve is closed. Should be easily accessible from the pump and located downstream from the air filter/regulator. Helps reduce risk of serious injury from splashing of fluid and injury from moving parts during pump adjustment or repair.
