This is an intake ball component used in displacement pump assemblies. Reference number 16n in the diagram. Listed as reference number 16‡ in the parts table. There is also part 15C868 which is a BALL, intake; silicon nitride; 2 in. (50.8 mm) dia.; used on 15F298 and 249991 only - appears to be an alternative material version of the same size ball. This is reference number 16 in the Stainless Steel Lowers parts list.
